A lamp that syncs with guided meditations via Bluetooth, dimming and pulsing with the voice of the meditation. CircuitPython microcontroller, BME280 temperature sensor, Node.js linked to Apple HomeKit. For unguided sessions the light mimics the randomness of waves on a shore. Modeled in Fusion 360 and constructed with 3d printing.
* works with a custom app or by itself
Instead of writing an essay, I built a 3D physical model of human body joints using hand-carved dowels. First version used ribbon for ligaments. A few iterations later it balanced function with an organic aesthetic. Ms. Ward still uses it for lectures as a permanent fixture in the classroom.
* would love to remake with a motor to make real movement
A graphic design assignment where we had to make three bus shelter ads. This concept revolves around my friend Aero Fisher playing on his name with the phrase "Aero is Everything" a common modern cycling phrase coming with the shift of interest from lightweight bikes to aerodynamic bikes.
* I love these concept projects
I have a small Sony point and shoot camera that I love to take photos on. One day I hope to buy a very big lens to photograph wildlife.
* real camera coming soon...
For Engineering and Design Principles, tasked with making a feasible, constructible, medium-density fiberboard structure that follows constraints and holds the most weight. Simplicity ended up being best, as construction was the most important part.
* simplicity is king
Designed an accessory dwelling unit from constraints up. City, county, and state codes. Modeled in SketchUp with tagged layers for rapid iteration on windows, rooflines, and layouts. Integrated a rechargeable interior lighting system into the physical MDF model: solar cell, battery, two soldered LEDs.
* love dollhouses and this is the closest "professional" thing
A cycling kit brand for aerodynamic, visually striking designs. Traced the frontal silhouette of a time trial cyclist and refined it into an abstract 'A' that reads as wings — a symbol of speed and aerodynamics. Initial brush stroke attempts failed. Symmetry worked.
* the logo ended up on a jersey mockup. it looks fast.
